We have supplied 4 fish incubators to 4 of our area schools in Creston, B.C. Each year, we obtain and supply Kokanee eggs to these 4 classrooms of children to put in their educational fish incubators. These children watch and learn as these fish eggs develop and mature into Kokanee fry. In April of each year the children in these 4 classrooms release the Kokanee fry into Summit Creek. In September of 2001 the South Kootenay Anglers Society was able to see some oth the Kokanee fish returning to spawn in Summit Creek. April 4, 2002 the seventh Kokanee fry release took place. Aproximately 40 children released the fry that they had "raised" in their fish incubators from the egg stage to fry stage. |

The Flag-A-Snag program in which we have buckets of flourescent markers available to boaters on the Kootenay Lake to mark floating debris and deadheads on the lake. This program has helped make boating on Kootenay Lake much safer for everyone.

The South Kootenay Anglers Society has also been instrumental in placing 2 floating docks at Boswell boat launch. We hope that everyone enjoys the use of this boat launch. |

| The South Kootenay Anglers Society was also able to help the Kuskanook Harbour Society in the endeavors to cleanup the Kuskanook Harbour and area. We had a huge work bee one day and through our work together were able to beautify and clean the site. |

The South Kootenay Anglers Society also puts together an annual fishing derby (always the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend) to take place this year October 18th, 19th, and 20th 2002. Through our membership and our annual fishing derby the South Kootenay Anglers Society raises funds necessary to continue with our various projects.
We are open to new suggestions and project related to the south end of Kootenay Lake. Another project we are looking into is the possibility of putting in a spawning bed. |
