The Recreation Complex

It's the "Rec Centre" to locals, because it's where a lot of the recreation in the Creston Valley takes place. The Creston and District Community Complex houses the curling rink facility and ice arena (in season) which are used for other events such as the Fall Fair and Trade Shows when the ice is out. There are meeting rooms of several sizes, and a kitchen for banquets and other events.
The skating rink is first class and is home to a very active hockey season. The Creston 'THUNDERCATS' Jr. B hockey team is a major attraction, playing in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. More information on this team can be found at www.thunder-cats.com!
On the spacious grounds are ball and soccer fields, horseshoe pitchs, skate-board park and childrens' play equipment. In summer, the pool is a busy place with lessons, fitness programs, lap swims, and public swimming schedules.
Adjacent is the Rotacrest Hall, used by New Horizons Seniors and other community groups. It also has a kitchen. Both structures are wheelchair accessible, and there is ample parking.
Community halls serve the surrounding communities, and there are ball diamonds and picnic facilities around the valley.
There's plenty of room for fun and games.
