COME VOLUNTEER WITH THE CRESTON VALLEY
GLEANERS SOCIETY
We have over 100 volunteers at Gleaners… from
teenagers to seniors… working at least 4 hours a week.
We always need help in these areas: Food Bank, Toys, Books, Linens,
Clothes sorting, Household Goods, Small & Large Appliances, Furniture, Cashiers At Both Stores, Annual Coat Sale and Xmas Sale.
We do all kinds of activities:

Receive and distribute food
at the Food Bank |

Sort, repair, clean, package, price, display
and sell donated items |
|
|
Special events: one-day
winter coat and boot sale and Christmas sale |
|
|
Serve on our executive or write funding
grants or give out funds to community groups
|
|
|
Interview new volunteers, maintain phone
lists, schedule work shifts, or honour our volunteers
|
|
|
Transport cardboard to the
recycling center, and garbage to the dump |
|
|
Deliver food parcels to home-bound seniors |
|
|
Help at home: test & repair toys, dress dolls, cut rags, mend clothes, price jewellry, package crafts, test watches, and test & repair small appliances. |
