Kaminoho is a small village of 2,000 people in Central Japan. It is a mountainous village with an economic base primarily in agriculture, forestry, and increasingly, tourism. Kaminoho is a small, friendly village in central Japan with a population of approxiamately 2000 people. Like Creston, her main sources of income are from agriculture and the forestry industry. The village is surrounded by small mountains and there are two rivers winding through her.

Major crops in the area include rice, Japanese green tea, and a special citrus fruit called yuzu. The yuzu is used to make several secondary products. Known for its' medicinal powers the fruit is made into juice, throat lozenges, a sweet wine, and jelly.

Kaminoho has abundant forests and the primary industry in the area is forestry related. There are 17 sawmills in the village. As well, there are many value added wood business. Products range from wooden lamp covers to paper doors to a specialized timber frame home.

Tourism is also a growing business. To capitalize on this, Kaminoho is currently building a new hotsprings resort. The pool is set to open in the summer2001. As well, Kaminoho is home to a famous carving by the buddhist priest - Enku. It is the only known carving of a women done by priest Enku. Every year there is a national carving contest held in Kaminoho in honour of this statue.
