What is MoneyWi$e?

We all have some form of income. Some people have more income than others. Some have less. But it is not just income that creates stability in one’s life – income can disappear quite unexpectedly. Financial security and financial stability involves the accumulation of “productive assets”.

MoneyWi$e is a financial literacy skills program that gives you the knowledge you need to acquire these assets and create a brighter financial future for you and your family.

MoneyWi$e will:

help you to understand money – its origin, its purpose, its power and its opportunities.
help to ensure that your most important priorities in life are given the financial attention they deserve
help you plug spending gaps, reduce debt, set and achieve realistic goals, remove obstacles, increase income, and reduce costs and financial stress
show you how today’s decisions impact future possibilities
put you in the financial “driver’s seat” for both today and for the future

MoneyWi$e and the ADAPT Program:

MoneyWi$e is a sister program of ADAPT (Accelerated Development Accounts For Persons in Transition) ADAPT enables low-income residents to acquire important personal assets through an accelerated savings program. For each $1 saved (up to a maximum of $75 each month), a matched contribution of $3 is made on the participant’s behalf. Through ADAPT, a person or family with low income can save money four times faster to acquire a home, a post-secondary education, or to start a small business. Eligibility requirements and further details are available at KES.

What participants said about MoneyWi$e:

“Really enjoyed it! I am sorry to be leaving, would love another course…”
    “Awesome program overall!!”
“Thank you for your help and support”

In evaluations recently completed by MoneyWi$e graduates, 80% said that the training exceeded their expectations and 100% said they would recommend the training to others. What are you waiting for. Call Keith @ Kootenay Employment Services - (250) 428-5655!
